Ms. Evans is a Director and Human Resources Business Partner at Freedom Mortgage. In this role Ms. Evans provides Human Resources support to the Wholesale and Correspondent Channels as well as the Marketing, Legal, PMO, Funding, Audit Risk, Finance, Vendor Management, Corporate Analytics and Capital Markets Departments. Ms. Evans provides Human Resource guidance in the areas of: organizational structure, talent acquisition, compensation, benefit administration, employee relations, orientation, training and policy and procedure development.
Prior to this role, Ms. Evans supported the Traditional Retail channel at Freedom and over 1,000 employees as the Human Resources Director for Commercial Casualty at Chartis providing support in employee relations, succession planning, compensation, leadership and development. Ms. Evans also supported Chartis in their Diversity Initiatives developing specific talent acquisition programs that leveraged partnerships with diverse organizations. Teresa also managed diversity projects that impacted the culture, workplace and marketplace for Chartis around the country.
In addition to Ms. Evans’ Human Resource responsibilities, she has held the role as Event Chairperson for the 14th Annual Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon and has accepted this role for a second year serving as event Chairperson of the 17th Annual Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon. Teresa will also serve as the Heart and Stroke Champion for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women event in Long Island and position the American Heart Association as a strategic partner in employee wellness, volunteerism, and charitable giving. This event which is scheduled for February 28, 2018 and is the largest nonprofit luncheon held on Long Island.
Ms. Evans also serves on the Board of the Eagle Academy Foundation and sits on the Advisory Council of Adelphi University. Additionally, Ms. Evans has served for the past three years as Co-Chair of the SUNY Farmingdale STEM Diversity Summit. Teresa is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and holds an officer position on The Eastern Shore, New York Chapter of Links, Inc. in addition to belonging to the Long Island Chapter of the Society of Human Resources.
Ms. Evans earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration and Finance at Fisk University, an advanced Certificate in Health Care Administration from Meharry Medical College, and an MBA in Money, Banking and Finance from Adelphi University.
