A Message from Kevin O’Connor
2012 Heart of the Hamptons Event Chair
I am honored to have the opportunity to Chair the 16th Annual Heart of the Hamptons Ball that will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 on the grounds of the Hayground School in Bridgehampton. I hope you will join me in making the American Heart Association and the 2012 event a priority in your charitable participation. This is a cause that has touched me personally. I lost my father to heart disease at the age of 42. That experience has made me aware of just how important education and behavioral changes are in preventing heart disease. The American Heart Association is the nation’s only voluntary health organization dedicated to promoting educational awareness, advocating for legislative change to reduce the prevalence of this devastating disease and funding life saving research for heart disease and stroke.
In 2011, the American Heart Association successfully continued its work to “to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular disease”. That does not happen working alone. At Bridgehampton National Bank we like to say “working together sets us apart”. So join us in making a difference. Your participation will allow the American Heart Association to continue its longstanding commitment to the health and well-being of our communities, and our nation at large.
With heartfelt thanks,
Kevin O’Connor
